How does your media product represent particular social groups?
Representation refers to the construction of a social groups in media, stereotypes are used to help represent characters in films to help the audience connect with and understand the characters more clearly. In our opening we represented middle aged men that are gang members, we portrayed this stereotype negatively because we showed them as aggressive and violent and involved in organised crime. This follows the conventions of normal media because the media in the real world will present middle aged gang members in a similar way.
